The development of SENSISPLUS Glasses
The idea
In recent years and decades, the development of wine glasses has focussed primarily on finding the goblet shape that best showcases a particular wine. Considerable success has been achieved, so that wine connoisseurs now have a variety of different goblet shapes and sizes at their disposal for enjoying fine wines.
However, this approach is increasingly reaching its limits, as an ever-increasing differentiation of glasses beyond the grape varieties (e.g. by growing region or vintage) appears to be technically feasible, but hardly practical for the individual consumer. At Eisch, therefore, the question of how the so-called "optimally" shaped wine glass could be further developed was already being considered at the end of the 1990s.

No. The glasses were made by EISH developed and only EISH can produce them. SENSISPLUS glass is protected as a trade mark.

Ronn Wiegand is a world-renowned wine expert. He lives in the USA (California). He is one of very few people in the world who are authorised to hold both the titles "Master of Wine" AND "Master Sommelier".

In it he says, among other things, that he was sceptical at first and that he then tasted around 30 wines in the glasses. What should you look out for if you want to carry out a comparison test with the SENSISPLUS glasses?
For comparison with the SENSISPLUS glass a glass that is as similar as possible in shape, size and contents. Make sure that both glasses are rinsed in the same way. Use a freshly opened bottle for the test. Pour the same amount of wine into both glasses and wait a few minutes. Now taste the wine in the SENSISPLUS glass and then compare it with the wine in the standard glass.

Is the Decanter now superfluous?
No. If you have enough time, you will continue to pour the wine into the decanter because it is a nice ritual. A decanter is also an eye-catcher on the table. Decanters are also used to separate sediment from older wines.
How must a SENSISPLUS glass be maintained?
The glass retains its properties permanently. It should be treated like any other high-quality crystal glass. No special care instructions need to be followed.
Can the SENSISPLUS glasses be washed in the dishwasher?
Yes, the glasses can be washed in the dishwasher without any problems. If the glasses are decorated by painting or similar, please follow the relevant care instructions.
