Tableware International – Awards of Excellence
Tableware International is an important international trade magazine that serves the tableware industry worldwide. Every year, Tableware International invites the who‘s who of the international tabletop industry to compete for the awards of excellence with a product from their current collection. A top-class jury of international designers, dealers and publishers had the task of selecting the 17 best designs out of 274 submissions from 148 well-known manufacturers. In a festive, exciting event at the AMBIENTE fair in Frankfurt, the EISCH COSMO espresso glass was awarded the TABLEWARE INTERNATIONAL Award of Excellence 2019.
The fascination is not only in the material glass and the difference to all the traditional porcelain and ceramic cups, but also in the genuine gold which graces the plain form of the glass. Tension is created by coating the glass with a glaze in stone look as a contrast to the shine of the 24kt gold.
The hazelnut-brown crema mirrored in the smooth, golden shimmering surface and the contrast of the slightly rough surface of the stone-look layer makes enjoying espresso an experience.
DINEUS 2019 – Great Prize of Tableware
With the project „DINEUS 2019“ under the direction of Olaf Salié and star florist & author Björn Kroner-Salié, the publishing company CALLWAY had been looking for outstanding products in the entire spectrum of tableware with an independent jury. For the first time, the Dineus Award recognizes the excellence of the tableware industry and aims to create more public awareness of tabletop culture. Invited were national and international manufacturers with products for the german-speaking market.
A jury of experts, designers and independent industry and media representatives assessed the submitted products, collections, designs and innovations.
As a part of a festive ceremony at the AMBIENTE fair in Frankfurt hosted by star florist & author Björn Kroner-Salié, Glashütte Eisch was awarded the DINEUS, the Great Prize of Tableware 2019 not once but twice.
