Tableware International Awards of Excellence

Tableware International is the most important international magazine for the global glass and porcelain industry. Every year, Tableware International invites the who’s who of the international tableware industry to enter a product from the current collection for the Awards of Excellence. A top-class jury of international designers, dealers and publishers selected the best designs from 220 entries from well-known manufacturers from all over the world in 15 categories. The assessment was based on the criteria of innovation, design, functionality, aesthetics and storytelling. Eisch won in the coffee/tea category.

Glashütte Eisch received the Tableware International Award of Excellence for the UNIK espresso glass.

The individual joy of discovery and experimentation of the espresso connoisseur is reflected in the unique shape of each EISCH UNIK espresso glass, freely formed by the glass blower. The unusual characteristic of the organic form gives UNIK its special beauty. At Eisch, the careful refinement by hand with 24-carat genuine gold or platinum is understood as a counterpart to the perfect roasting of the raw coffee beans, which turns them into shiny espresso beans. Black must not be missing in connection with espresso and so the black saucer closes the circle from the careful treatment of the raw material to the dark roasted espresso beans and the shiny finishing to the perfect pleasure for the palate, nose and eyes. The favourite drink of many connoisseurs becomes an extraordinary sensory experience with the UNIK espresso glass.
Julia Eisch (design) and Eberhard Eisch (CEO) and the entire Eisch workforce are proud of the award, which they received also in 2019 for their extraordinary design.

The EISCH COSMO espresso glass was awarded the TABLEWARE INTERNATIONAL Award of Excellence 2019

The fascination is not only in the material glass and the difference to all the traditional porcelain and ceramic cups, but also in the genuine gold which graces the plain form of the glass. Tension is created by coating the glass with a glaze in stone look as a contrast to the shine of the 24kt gold.
The hazelnut-brown crema mirrored in the smooth, golden shimmering surface and the contrast of the slightly rough surface of the stone-look layer makes enjoying espresso an experience.

DINEUS 2019 – Great Prize of Tableware
