GLASS: hearing, aroma and feeling
In the course of your visit to the Glashütte EISCH you will enter the EISCH GLASENSIUM. Our GLASENSIUM accompanies you with all your senses through the development process of a glass product from glass melting to finishing. Watch the transformation of the glowing glass mass into artful objects directly at the furnace. Tuesday to Saturday at 9.30 am and 11.00 am you can mint your own coin of glowing glass as a charm. The connections of glass and fire, glass and wood, glass and pleasure, glass and music, as well as glass and art are brought to you in an impressive way. Discover the magic of the flavors that unfold in the Eisch SensisPlus glass. You will learn about the flavors of the world, and you will be able to test your abilities at recognizing and naming aromas. See how the design of wine glasses has evolved over the course of the history of the Glashütte EISCH. The glass melt has always been accompanied by a touch of mysticism. Feel the impressive fascination that comes when fire and sand connect to become glass. Primary school children can follow a treasure map on an exciting journey through glass making. Text boards in German, English and Czech are provided throughout the GlaSensium. For details, see “Events”.
